Etna ed Alcantara

Ottimo tour per chi vuole stupirsi delle preziose meraviglie naturalistiche dell’Etna e dell’Alcantara. La maestosa Valle del Bove, il magnifico panorama su Taormina e la Calabria osservato dalla cima di antichi, ma non tanto, crateri laterali e la visita di una grotta di scorrimento lavico saranno le nostre tappe mattutine. Il pranzo con prodotti tipici siciliani ci delizierà prima di ripartire per andare a visitare il merviglioso fiume Alcantara con la sua antichissima storia e le stupefacenti “forme” geologiche che in alcuni tratti assumono aspetti unici come le strutture a colonne subverticali dette a canna d’organo o leggermente arcuate ad arpa e a ventaglio o disposte orizzontalmente a catasta di legna.

ETNA AND ALCANTARA

Ideal for visitors wishing to admire both the natural wonders of Mount Etna
and the Alcantara Gorge. In the morning the tour comprises visits to the
majestic Valle del Bove; the breath taking views from the old flank craters
towards Taormina and the Calabria coast and a visit to one of the lava flowing
cave. The lunch break will be packed with delicious typical Sicilian food. The
second part of the tour in the afternoon will head to the beautiful Alcantara
river with its gorge formed by Mount Etna thousands of years ago. Their
peculiar geological formations are the beautiful ballast rock columns, carved
by the river forming amazing shapes.

All children must be accompanied by a paying adult.
